Remembering Everybody

I always wanted to watch tuesdays with morrie. Last night, I finally saw the movie at youtube. The movie and the book which i read when i was still in college moved me to tears. Its a heartfelt story. One memorable scene that i like is:

Mitch:
It’s not just Morrie. I haven’t kept in touch with anybody from college. The reunions, the mail…Who’s got time for that stuff?

Janine:
Well, I wish I had a teacher like that.

Mitch:
No, he was more than just a teacher. He was… what… like a force. At this basketball game once, we were all chanting . . . "We’re number one! We’re number one," right? So I see Morrie a couple rows down, he’s eyeing us, he’s giving us all this look. All of a sudden he stands up and says… "What’s wrong with being number two?" He actually wanted to discuss that right in the middle of the game. Made a really big difference in my life, and I never even thanked him.

This scene reminded me of the moments i had with everybody from classmates, friends, colleagues, relatives, family or even strangers especially the ones who went ahead because all of them made a difference in my life. It may not be as profound as what Mitch had experienced but regardless of their impact on my life, everybody truly made a difference in me. Ii am grateful to have known people like them, people like Morrie.

Metafriendster

I have been friendstering for six years. I can hardly imagine how my profile will look like in my prime. But i am prettty sure there will be lots of fun moments in my _____ty years of my life. That is enough reason to keep smiling!

One thing i like about friendster are the testimonials and comments. I was going through some old write-ups  on my profile recently and some are funny and heartfelt.  To name a few:
  1. Sana naman magparamdam ka
  2. Where are u now, lumuwas ka naman ng maynila at nang tayo ay magsama samang muli! hehehe miss u kuya jo
  3. cousin!! what happened to you, di ka na nagpparamdam… anu ng balita sayo? nagpunta daw dito tita doris, di ko nakita!! huhu… wish we could all have reunion! we miss you.
  4. hi! josh, mis na kita. hope or fine wherever you are..
  5. jojo… super miss na kita… when tayo magkikita ulit?
  6. i suck in saying goodbye and in keeping in touch as well but i always remember the moments i have with my friends especially when i am intoxicated with alcohol. cheers!
  7. anyway, thanks din for everything! you were one of those who encouraged me to go for it and really believed in me. God does use people talaga. buti na lang nakinig ako sa inyo.. ;D
  9. i am not really a fan of sentimental stuff but I do appreciate a sweet friend. ok, end of drama. next round of testimonials please.
  10. he may seem gentle and harmless at the beginning but once you get to know him (and he gets to know you), he shapeshifts back to his original form
  11. He is admired and loved by our profs and classmates because of his humor and hardwork. I can say Josh is like a magnet when it comes to groupings because many of our classmates approaches him and asks if they could join in his group. Very good indeed! hehehe. One thing I admire on these guy is his helpfulness in class specially during our summer classes in Accounting. He does sometimes shares his work with the whole class hehehe.
  12. Josh is always showing what he is really made of, never been embarrassed of whatever stuff he wanted to do and  always has courage to face all the eccentric and dangerous possibilities that he is bound to experience. All I know about him is that he really has a strong personality.
  13. known him from college and what can I say, magulo kami! when it comes to work, sipag yan, kaya magsolo. sa friendship naman, hmmm naku! no comment. mabait sa mabait wag lang susumpungin
  14. i met this guy in college akala ko mayabang kalog pala! makulit pro ok kaibigan.
  15. one thing that i  can’t forget about him, is when he speaks!!!! ssssooooooobbbrang bilis!!!! and bilis kung mag salita!!! nakaka tuwang pakinggan!! hehehe!!! miss you jojo!!!
  17. Seriously si Josh, ok yan lalo na pag may group work unahan kami para maging kamemeber siya para sure na mataas ang grade and masasabmit in time.
  18. You used to be a shy type person, yung tipong nasa isang dulo lang, walang imik at MATINO… hehehe.  mwah mwah
I can’t believe they said that about me. I am starting to feel like a semi-celebrity! At least i got to know how i was as their friend, relative, classmate, and whatever i was to my friends/ters. I  get to ponder also about my life.
