4. Cooperate with various partners and networks.
5. Raise literacy of Filipinos.
6. Promote environmental awareness by recycling of books.

December 2010 ~ After posting our Holiday Homecoming Party
photos in Facebook, our former first
year Science teacher and adviser wrote a
comment in one of our photos which can be found here:1. Continuously deliveries encyclopedias, textbooks, coloring books, workbooks, storybooks, dictionaries, school supplies and instructional materials to day care centers, elementary and high school public schools.

January 26, 2011 ~ I discovered Rock Ed Philippines through
Pepe Diokno’s tweet which was retweeted by one twitter account. We also found
out that the new site of Rock Ed Phlippines just went live on that week. It was
our first time to learn about the organization. We immediately signed up, initiated The Book Box Project and sought for
support through the volunteer page of rocked.ph.
After a few months,
we received overwhelming responses from volunteers who donated educational
supplies and books.
February 2011 ~ Rock Ed Volunteers Raina Reyes and friends
gave books to MJ Ruivivar at Chungdham Philippines.
March 2011 ~ US-based classmate/batchmate Ernesto Ebio box full of
crayons and coloring books.
April 2011 ~ Rock Ed Philippines donated boxes of books.
June 17, 2011 ~ We had our first outreach at Cagbacong
Elementary School. We intend to continue and create sustainable development
plans to students of public schools not just in Albay but hopefully nationwide.
We took the liberty of tagging some of the photos of our first Book Bigayan to Cagbacong Elementary School to to the Facebook of Hon. Gov. Jose Salceda. A few minutes later we saw also pictures of the event in his Facebook Album entitled The spirit of Education, The culture of Sharing: Cagbacong ES. He wrote:
These ordinary pictures portray a great affirmation of the strategic clarity of EDUCATION as the provincial imperative. I am most thankful because I have long realized that I can not do it alone.
Since our budget is limited, we have to leverage our programs by optimizing public participation. The provincial budget accounts for no more than 2.2% of the underlying GDP of Albay- thus, we have to focus on the essentials or the imperatives of human development to attain critical mass or threshold and economies of scale in our programs, thus get the best and the most bang from the bucks.
We can spread our resources too thinly over so many fronts, so we have a 10 point strategy and if compelled to choose two, the top 2 essentials are EDUCATION and HEALTH.
