My People of 2015

As always, there were so many people that I have met in 2015. They were of all kinds -- from princesses to trolls, dwarves, sorcerers and all sorts of mythological creatures. Seriously, I have met people that made me a part of at least 1/8 of their lives last year. So, aside from my family, here are My People of 2015...

Students

My students always make it to my list because I learn so much from them. Nevermind if most of them were pain in the ass. It comes with the profession. Its an occupational hazard.

There were also students whom I met during my career talk at Saint Agnes' Academy. Some of them are my friends in Facebook. I think most of my friends are students.

I get better and better at teaching  with every student that I met each year. I always become a younger version of myself.

More students, bigger foot.

CDYAP
I reconnected with my friend from San Beda College who invited me to join an socio-political organization - CDYAP. I was invited three years ago but it was only this year that we got to see and talk with each other again in person right here in Legazpi and Manila. Through my friend, I met more people from luzon, visayas and mindanao. And oh, Germany. Haha! I was really impressed on how good, intelligent and talented they were.

JCI Daraga

I also joined JCI Daraga, a socio-civic organization. When I joined this organization, someone said to me " "Magoutstanding member ka!". I was only a baby jaycee when it was said to me and haven't done anything worthy of any award. I did not become outstanding but the compliments I received is enough to make me feel that I am outstanding - or maybe much more. hahaha.

Being part of JCI Daraga was a refresher course for me on leadership because it has been a long time I haven't been active in extracurricular activities. Every activity that we did reminded of the lessons I have taught on Leadership Concepts and Styles.

SAA GS94 HS98
I do not get to hang out with my high school friends very often anymore but when we do we are still as close as sea and shore. I would like to call it as any other group of friends will call theirs - Agnesian Squad.

We had a reunion in April and December with an outreach activity for our Book Box Project. We've been doing book bigayan for 5 years now. To date, we've been to 14 public schools and barangays. This year was special because our SAA friends were with their little daughter/son, cousins, pamangkins ages 4 and up in bringing joys to kids in Sumlang Camalig, Brgy Maopi And Sitio Mapasan, Guinobatan.

Thank you for being part of My People of 2015!
